Tina2, I'm not sure of details but I know that he burnishes the images onto a sheet of stainless steel using a very difficult heating technique. Apparently it's a very long winded process - some of his "paintings" are real works of art

It is brilliant terry, though I don't think my hubby would be very pleased if I did something like that to the bonnet of his car... lol

If our car bonnets become accidentally scratched, I wonder if we could explain it away as artistic design.? :o)

Art comes in all shapes and guises, so i believe the answer to that is yes! Just hope you live with an appreciator of art and not a critic! lol
Call me ignorant, but I thought you were on about the late James Dean and the house was a sort of memorial to him or the like.
I like the sound of this guy's talents. Will endeavour to look him up on the net
love GOY for unexpected discoveries such as this. I become more learned each day I log in.

Actually TIna2 - he dismantled the old bonnet and made a brand new one out of stainless steel...... so your husband wouldn't have a leg to stand on if you decided to copy the idea !!!
BTW - I can't give his name on GOY Crystaltips for you to look up on the net, as I could be understandbly flagged for pushing his works - we jokingly call him James Dean, as I once mentioned in an earlier photo of him with his trussed up Harley bike, that he looked like JD in his youth and the name just stuck!! Sorry for confusion to you all ....
