Foxhollow in the Fall

Liquidambar styraciflua 'Gum Ball' only just begining to show its autumn tints. One of the best small sweet gums, low mounding habit, originated from a witches' broom.

I've never seen one with a mound-like habit. Ours is tall but we keep trimmed to a narrow column.
