Thanks Bonkersbon, that's our neighbors gazebo. They are directly across the lake from us. I've always wanted a gazebo in my garden.

Man...BB, you're billiant !!!! Why haven't I thought of that, darn it. I could have had that bad boy in my garden YEARS AGO ! I just love the way you think...lol

Ahem!... somehow I don't think the neighbour would buy that one! So was this an inspiration trip? Did hubby get your drift? (no pun intended) will we be seeing your lakefront landscape plan next spring? hmmmm? That's what I was thinking when I viewed your pic of the pitcher plant.. great idea for a waterside garden..a bridge between a small island and the shore?. stepping stones?...a gazebo on stilts? you are one lucky woman!

Now if I were only a rich woman Lori, I'd be putting your wonderful ideas into action..lol. Everybody's got to have a dream, or a goal, right ? Now, thanks to you, I have several....lol ! I almost feel sorry for hubby now, (not really)...hehehe !

Oh I'm having wonderful dreams for you...standing knee deep in water pointing where the stepping stones should go! Tote that stone! filling up bushel baskets with muck to plant your lilies and exotics...why not a Victoria waterlily...??? would look Incredible with the Darlingtonia and Bird of Paradise!!

Oh Lori, you are filling my head with such sweet thoughts ! I'll not get a wink of sleep tonight...lol

tell hubby how much fun it would be with a little tractor and winch to lift the waterlily grid out each spring!..(having sunk it with cinder block weights the previous autumn...) and checking the muck in the half barrels...to make sure your precious lilies have survived...

It's about 400 meters across to the other side. I sadly don't even know their names, we just wave as we go by in the boat, on the rare occasion that someone is outside.
