Experiment for growing cuttings

I get a bit fed up with starting cuttings each year and had this idea - to start them in water, in the house. I wonder if it will work.

Certainly worth a try...using rootone too? I have started a lot in water over the years.

The Virginia Creeper is rooting already and the Cotoneaster has lots of little bobbles that might be the beginnings of roots. Other plants are Hibiscus, Pyrocantha, Smoke Bush, Fuschia and the other v.creeper Tricuspidata.
Just water, Catfinch. I'm trying this because I find the other method (in soil) quite hard work, and I usually end up giving up on them, though to my surprise I find they have rooted and I've got new plants the following year. Anyway, I'll see if this works.

In water is the only way I have started much of anything...did not even know you could start in soil until I played with rhodies...but did not have a whole lot of luck with those...did better with water. hardest part was keeping them from going dry while I got around to potting them up!
