Giant Polypore (Meripilus giganteus)

Interestingly shaped fungi growing on an old tree stump. Had a look on Google and it's name is Meripilus giganteus! Usually grows on or around dead Beech tree stumps.

Really Greenthumb? It's a fabulous looking growth, and same shade as chicken feathers!

I'll have to go hunting next summer for some. Really yellow, alot of our natural mushroom edibles are not so tasty looking. :-) I love big thick clumps like this. This one is great!
