Interestingly shaped fungi growing on an old tree stump. Had a look on Google and it's name is Meripilus giganteus! Usually grows on or around dead Beech tree stumps.

We've a shelf mushroom in big clumps like this here called chicken of the forest cause its so tasty. Its more yellow, I'm not recommending a taste....lol :-)

I'll have to go hunting next summer for some. Really yellow, alot of our natural mushroom edibles are not so tasty looking. :-) I love big thick clumps like this. This one is great!
