This is a blooming Queen's-Tears bromeliad at the S. D. Zoo picture taken yesterday.

yes but my flowers or leaves are not as big as these.

Billbergia nutans - Queen's-Tears is probably one of the hardiest of the bromeliads. By the way this plant can get much larger than this...I have seem them used as an informal hedge or barrier.

i grow these outside but they don't look this lush..
