Yes, Janette, they can be used like any other bedding plant.
They are nice, Skippy, glad I found these ones.

Janette - I just saw seeds of ornamental cabbage in the new Mr fothergill's catalogue. "Tokyo Mixed" sounds like it should have plants of many colours (40 seeds £1.95) or there is a deep purple variety called "Purple Pigeon" (25 seeds £1.95).

Sorry, Lori, but these are purely ornamental. I aim to try growing these myself from seed next year.
