Thanks everyone ! It's a nice little community to live in. Most all of our neighbors are farmers too.

Even the water going over the dam looks placid!!

You could not wish for a better place to live, or a better life to lead, I love your pictures , and to be part of rural community is everything, I come from farming stock, and although we live by the sea, we miss the countryside especially this time of the year with all the magnificent colour around.

Thanks Dottydaisy for your wonderful comments. I know alot of people would be bored out of their minds living out here, not any nightly attractions or social engagements. It's a very laid back atmosphere, no traffic and privacy is a given. One either loves it or hates it. This is the only life I've ever known, so for me anyway, ignorance is bliss...lol. As long as I have a place to get outside and play in the soil and get my hands dirty, I'm happy !

Cities can always be visited and I would never be able to live in one - like my own space too much and the beauty you have surrounding you must be a constant source of pleasure and enjoyment.

Wow....you are sooo observant BB...lol. The hat is above the entrance to the hole I'm going to be hibernating in till winter is over...(wink !) It's a long time till spring so I thought I'd better leave the hat as marker so hubby and son wouldn't forget where I was . I'm afraid they will be having so much fun without me around, that they will forget to come and get me anyway. So if you don't hear from me by April, all my GOY friends now know where to look. I'm counting on you guys...lol

To answer your Question, this is a recreational lake Marguerite. They fish, swim, water ski, and jet ski alot on the lakes here.
