I've been using a Picasa program lately. But this effect I got simply by using the "sun sheild" on my macro lens. With the lens fully extended you see the sheild. Glad you like it :) If you do get your pitcher plant, don't let it dry out, that's how I killed one years ago.

Do you use photo shop or some other program? My son is a photographer and uses these various techniques. I have Photo Impact and can manipulate pictures but mine don't turn out this nice...I love these pitcher plants and I am determined to get one someday when I have time for another plant....H-m-m-m..that may not be anytime soon..this goes on my favorites
