Speckly and shiney, thanks both of you.:-) These leaves are sometimes used to make leaf leis and leaf skirts for costumes in Fijian Traditional dancing with matching arm bands as well made from them. They have coconut oil rubbed onto it before the dance which gives a shinier effect.

Oh ok, maybe I have been lucky so far not to have gotten the same on mine.
