My Norfolk Island Pine, Jacaranda and Southern Magnolia

This is the front of my house. The 80+ Norfolk Island Pine which dwarfs the Jacaranda tree to the left (50 feet tall) and Southern Magnolia (Magnolia grandiflora) which is 40 feet tall on the right. The pic. was taken yesterday.

Catfinch, this tree is relatively small...they grow to over 200 feet in Coastal California. There are several almost 200 feet trees around, especially on Coronado Island across San Diego Bay. I believe the large trees on Coronado Island were planted in the 1880's. The largest Norfolk Island tree I ever saw was in the San Francisco Bay Area in the city of Fremont...I estimated this tree to be around 220 feet tall.

Wow that is the biggest Norfolk I have ever seen..my grandmother grw on in her kitchen as a house plant...she loved that tree.
