Another on my list to buy, such beautiful colours, you say that you lost H Obsidian because of low light? have just put mine in the border, any advice would be helpful on this....

Yes, it was in the shadiest border I have, under an ornamental grape vine on a pergola. The border gets light at this time of year until the spring, but it's just not light enough for much to thrive there. So it didn't - and gave up the ghost!

I know now that Heucheras prefer dappled shade rather than such heavy.shade - or sun. have two H.'Licorice' in a sunny area and they are positively thriving there!

Thanks for that Spritz, I do like foliage plants and these have come a long way since palace purple? looking to buy the lime one as well now.... it is never ending.

Which reminds me, DD - I put H. Key Lime (?? right name??) in that area when we first got here - and that died too. So Heucheras in that bed are an absolute No-no. :-(
Difficult to know WHAT to put in there! I have some foxglove babies (grown from seed) in there, and a 'London Pride' which is struggling - also an Epimedium - with fingers crossed.
