It takes quite some time for the flowers to emerge. This is one thing that I'm really enjoying about this site...I'm finding out when things bloom, how long they last etc. I like how the pics we post are dated. A photo journal of sorts :)

Isn't it exciting when you see the beginning of the flower spike and know that you will see the flower soon?

I agree Skippy. I sometimes feel a little impatient though with these slow growers... but in prime conditions the flower, once it finally opens will last for a long time, unless the snails get it!!
