Is this another name for my friend with the long name - Ophiopogon etc etc?

Yep, a quick google and definately ophiopogon. I do need to investigate if it'll sicken my cat. I have a feeling she will be taking at least one quick chew, just to see if she likes it.

Greenthumb, I have as a 'favourite' or 'bookmark' a list of toxic plants (to humans and animals) Ophiopogon etc etc does not appear on the list. Hope that helps.

Oh, good. Thank you Spritz, I was getting a little worried as much as she loved it.
