I used to do that in the other garden too. Not many leaves here only on the road, so next yr when I'm more organised I'll do it again.

~there are loads of beech leaves that someone has dumped in a foot thick plle to the entrance to the woods~do they need to be dry to make leaf mould ?is there something you put in with the leaves?

Hi Arlene , stuff as many leaves as you can into a large strong plastic bag , spray the leaves if they are dry ....... they need to be damp .
Tie the bag up tightly then poke holes in it for the air ..then leave for 6-12 months , it should be ready to use then .
