Blue Vista Lookout point

It was somewhat hazy out on Sunday. These blue mountains are usually sharp and clear and breathtaking. The tree in the foreground has lost its leaves for the winter. At this point you are at an elevation of 9184 feet. The "white knuckle highway" is actually called The Coronado Trail. If you look it up on line, you will see that I am not exaggerating when I say, it is the least traveled road in the US.

It is the least traveled highway because of the 447 curves in the road and the fact there are no barriers between you and the edge of the cliff...you cannot take your mind off the road at all.....there are easier less stressful roads to get where you are going...during our entire trip up and back down, we only encountered 3 other vehicles....Takes 3 hours to travel 90 miles...
