Well Janette, i actually bought it thinking its was only hal;f hardy annual, and nobody could have been more surprised than me to see it flower up again this year. Its very pretty when its flowering well

Thats nice to know Milky I bought mine in spring I thought it might not last through winter So thats a nice surprise :)

I've got abutilon megapotanicum which has now been constantly in flower non-stop for more than two years!

2 years Andrew...thats brilliant, I was just pleased I managed to over winter it in the garden as its not in a sheltered position

I planted mine against a trellis facing due south in well-drained soil so it has pretty much ideal conditions. Will need to do some judicious cutting back next year I think

Mine is facing west Andrew and yes it is very well draining there but very exposed really to the winter winds, and mine too could do with "a bit of a trim" but like yourself ....in the spring
