Hi Ang i had the Purpley/Pink 1s in these last yr but they didnt like my Garden :( They seemed 2 rot away :(

Thats a shame Jac, they are so pretty, but they do tend to do much better in pots, did you plant them in beds? this may be why they did'nt work. they don't like to be over wet, and also the slimey menace loves them! so in pots they stand a far better chance.

What is this plant am I being daft? It looks like a cabbage and a rather pretty one too!

Not daft at all Reebees, it is indeed a cabbage, an ornimental cabbage, i got this from B & Q for £1.99 so cheap and easy to find.
