half way through mulching the woodland bed

as you can see run out of mulch, will have to finish it at the weekend.

It's a trumpet vine, - not fully hardy in UK so i have covered it with fleece.

Really Angie? I must have one of the hardier cultivars then. I think mine is hardy down to about -30C. I have no problem with it overwintering here.

this is not the common red or yellow one, it is a pale pinky peach, but to be honest i thought they were all a bit on the tender side, maybe you just hit lucky with the spot you have it growing in. or maybe not as sensertive as my info saggests. i like to play on the safe side anyway, this one would be hard to replace, so i am sure the fleese won't do any harm lol

It certainly won't do any harm. I've never seen a pink one. I bet it's very pretty. Mine is just plain old orange.

i have pic's of it on my garden page Gilli, feel free to have a look it is very pretty. i bought if from woolworths last year, thinking it was the orange or red type - what a lovely suprize it was when it went into flower.

No point looking in Woolies any more, is there? Shame - it was always cheap and cheerful and I used to spend my pocket money in there as a child.
