Just starting to go into bloom again. I was debating on taking a cutting, glad I didn't yet.

We have one and want to try cuttings too. With Streptocarpus you can pull a healthy leaf and chop it across-ways into several pieces. We're now inundated with Streps. Maybe we could try this method with Begonia Rex.

Shirley, begonia can propagate from the leaf as well. Splitting the veins and laying with good contact on moist medium and keeping moist and warm can form new callus where new plants will form. My attempt wasn't successful. You can just take a small length from the growing tip, four or five leaves and root the bottom half of the cutting. It propagates very well like this. Remove the bottom leaves of course. You sound like you have a prop habit like I do, I'm spreading saintpaulias, my strep is too big as is. :-)

Lovely colouring on that one. I'm a big fan of the many colours of Rex Begonias.
