What is the lowest they can take ?

these ones get the sun first thing in the morning and so stay frosted the least amount of time possible. two years ago this plant dropped every leaf but the stalk stayed hard and it regrew loads of new heads, the lowest i've recorded is -6.

that was the year they lost their leaves but came back great. if i only had one i would bring it inside. i try them in all sorts of situations some do better than others. i have some up against a south facing wall of the house and they do sooo well. the best ones are in the hospital garden i work in. they were amazing last winter. they are surrounded by red bricks an glass i was amazed at how well they did.

I have one which was flourishing outdoors, brought it in over winter and lost all leaves. Back outside a few weeks and flowering from stem...but should I have cut it back? And if so is it too late in season (end May) to do it now?
