Does Flores get quite a lot of rain ?

Hi TT, well actually Flores, due to it's location in the Archepelago, gets the most rain of any of the islands. So every day the weather changes. But then just as quickly it changes back. As a matter of fact, on my journey there, I got stuck on one of the other islands for 4 days waiting for the weather to clear -- before I actually got there! Luckily they put me up in a fairly nice hotel, and gave us a daily food allowance -- they obviously did this before! So every day we would pack up our bags, and go back to the little tiny airport to see if the planes were leaving, and then we would end up going back to the hotel for dinner and sleep...finally on the 4th day the skies cleared and all was good to go!

That was before I even made it to Flores...
I must say, it was quite an adventure.

From what I understand about these cottages, they are completely renovated on the inside -- heat, wifi, electricity, etc...more of a resort than anything now. But I was there in October and it was desolate. Not a soul to be found...! What a fascinating island, that's for sure!
