well thats what i thought, have'nt planted them as yet, but as you can see don't have the back drop for them yet, they need a bit of evergreeness behind to really show them off i think, but i have a plan in mind, just waiting for Steve next door to agree to it, as it involves digging out a scraggly old mock orange that is in my way, and half in his garden, lol - i can feel the baby blues tactics coming into operation, if he does'nt agree soon lol

thanks Daisy, not looking forward to that one, i know it is going to be an axe job to get anywhere near the main root, and i fancy it is proberly going to go under the patio too. i might just do a blog on my efforts - no laughing! lol

Sounds ominous - maybe next-door might lend a hand or three?

LOL - i wish! Steves idea of gardening is, reading the newspaper while sunbathing, he gets his mum doing it all, she quite young and fit, and enjoys doing the lighter work, such as cutting the grass, weeding etc, but i know she has problems with one of her hips, so would'nt dream of asking her to help. No great beliver in girl power i'm affraid, i am in my prime fairly fit, i can do this. after all i managed to get out a 10ft privit, 3 hawthornes, all above 10ft, and a big berry tree, when we first moved. this moc orange does look bigger at the base than any of them, so i may inlist the help of my gardening buddy Carmel, - we got out a 15ft conifer tree in her garden one afternoon, - because it was blocking the sun, while we were sunbathing lol. thing is we lost track of time and had to rush off to pick her son up from school, - covered in mud, twigs in our hair the works lol. and don't know if it is the same round your way, but the school run is often like a fashion parade round here, so we did get a few looks.

You are joking, Angie! Don't forget that we are very rural - I don't go to the village much and certainly not when the school run is on! I think that most of the children walk, as the village is very small. There are only about 75 children there.
Hmmm. I think you'll have to eat lots of spinach and build up those muscles ready for the 'big dig'. Or - how about a digging party? Invite all Brooke's friends AND their parents along.

lol, - have you ever seen the 'just philadephia' advert - you know the one where the two angles constantly say 'lovely' - with a really strong Essex acents - well lets just say who ever come up with that ad, and the Essex girl jokes has definately done a school run in Romford lol.
and yes the dig party sounds like a good plan, may just have to orgainse that one.

White stilettos? Or is that an 'ex-Essex girl joke'?
28 Dec, 2008
lol - well about 20 years ago yeah, but i can honestly say that i have NEVER owned a pair of them. i live and die in my trainers, - never been able to walk in stilettos lol The 'in thing' at the moment seems to be what i call the paint pot hair style - dark brown underneath and bleached blond on top - straightened ofcourse! - as you can imagine delightful!

Maj you remind me of me when I was your age, up for anything, especially a bit of demolition work, just couldnt resist it, still have a go now when the urge takes me.!!

You go girl! nothing like a bit of demolition, especially if angry with someone lol well lets face it you wait for ever and a day for a man to get round to doing it, only does it after endless nagging, and usually it's done very badly at the end! and us women are left with the tidy up mission afterwards lol - actually a time and effort saver doing it myself, i think! lol
