ooo...is it a soft grey-blue with white edged ruffly petals, Janey? I've seen that one...it's a must get! lol. I like the pink one above so much because the flowers are anemone shaped...round not triangular like a violet...sooooo gorgeous..I wish I could get up close and produce a picture that would show the marvellous crystalline luminosity of the petals... I've gone looking for the var. name of the above but keep getting side tracked on all the wonderful flower picture sites... about three hours later I come to my senses..oh yes...now what was I looking for? giggle.

May I make a suggestion or two, Janey. Don't know what the surroundings are...but here's what they like... They like a nice east window with natural light...but if you have fluorescent grolites they will bloom under them as well.
give them at least 12-14 hours of light and as close to total darkness at night as you can... when watering make sure the soil is saturated then allow to drain completely...don't leave them sitting in water or the stalk will rot at the soil line..(there are emergency procedures to save it if that's happening, but we won't go into that now) find a premixed liquid fertilizer that is higher in phosphorus.. The specialty fert that I buy is 8-14-9 with micro nutrients and requires only 7 drops to the litre. With that weak solution you can fertilize with every watering...but I find that mine do well with a once a month fertilizer regimen..They love humidity..and they will grow lush and lovely in a wardian case, a terrarium or with their pots placed in an aquarium. They do ok with plastic pots...but I like to put mine in small nested clay pots...and when I water I immerse the inner pot up to the leaves and wait til any bubbles have stopped before letting them drain very well and placing them back in their outer pots. they caution against getting water on the leaves...but misting is ok...I find it hard to avoid getting some water on the leaves because I like to immerse my plants...I just let them sit in a well ventilated (but not drafty) place until they are dry before putting them back under lights or into bright light conditions... lots more to tell but this should give you some ideas to try...hope it blossoms for you really soon!
