When we have to do the bird count at the end of January these are the hardest to count, there can sometimes be 20-40 of them in my garden, at the same time trouble is they dont stay still long anough to count, as they are always squabbling with each other.

Thats true, do you know TT when they decide to go back to where they come from about march time, i have to admit i do miss them as it's so quiet without them.

I love it when the Starlings all try to get in the bird bath at the same time.
And often the sparrows stand nearby getting a free shower.
I seem to get Starlings in my gardens all year.
Or is that just my imagination ???

I do get them all year, but only a few, i was told a lot of the starlings that we get in winter come from Russia, no wonder they fall out over nothing, because our starlings in summer are really quite.

Wouldn't it be funny if the Starlings suddenly stood motionless while you counted them, and then simultaneously started squabbling again. LOL
