Just pink and white. Don't know their names. But aren't they luscious! I bury my face in them and just inhale!

I didn't realise peonies were scented.

Get several!
Peonies can get very old. Over 50 years. They need good food. It is a good idea to put some well-rotted manure into the hole when you plant. They do not like to be transplanted (but they do survive it). Be sure not to plant them too deep. There must be wonderful peony specialist sellers in the UK. I'm envious.

Not all varieties have a strong fragrance Hywel. Make sure the one(s) you get are aromatic. My deep red ones have no smell at all.

Gilli's right. Thing is, I have no red peonies - I far prefer the pastels - so I forgot that they have no fragrance! ;-)

I'll look for pastel shades. I don't really like bright red anyway.
