Gillian I did not leave the house now since Christmas day, really I send the boss out as she does not care what it's dong. Nothing holds her back from shopping. I had snow tires installed on her car so she can really have fun out there. It is still snowing here and the the warmest it got was -24c today and a wind chill of -40c BURRRRRRRRRRRR!

I have managed to not leave the house for about four days now - Mike is here and driving people where they have to get to. Back to normal routine soon unfortunately!

Boy, it looks like it is really coming down ! Do you live on the western end on Canada ? I heard on the news that the pacific northwest has really been hammered this winter with snow, the most on record. Hope 2009 gets better for you !

Ontario is central Canada FLcrazy. British Columbia is the Pacific Northwest.

Thanks for explaining PF! You know, this could get confusing since PF are my husband's initials. He is actually P.Floyd in the 'phone book!
He uses his second name most of the time, that's why you usually see me refer to him as Mike.

Thanks for the info PF. I guess Gilli is the only one I chat with from British Columbia on GOY, and Pollyananna, Catfinch and Sarah65 are all in the pacific northwest, where they are having a record breaking cold winter so far this year. So I guess in Ontario this is just another day to you during the winter time, aye Gillian ?

Gillian I'm in the phone book as Floyd Pink and it gets confusing to people looking for me

The Pacific Northwest generally refers to the north western coast of North America, Flcrazy. The coastal areas of Oregon and Washington, USA and the coastal areas of British Columbia, Canada. I think Alaska is probably considered "North". I'm in the interior of British Columbia, about 270 miles from the coast, so although I'm in BC, I'm not considered to be part of the Pacific Northwest here. Our climate is very very different to that on the coast. In the interior it is much drier. Much colder in the winter and much hotter in the summer. Snow in the winter, hardly any rain in the summer. Our climate, in the interior, is more like that of Utah I think.

Lol, I think we are just Alaska. lol. I came from the Bitteroot range in the rockies of central Idaho. Your climate Gilli reminds me of that alpine life.
This snow has really been coming for you Gillian. Glad you have a chance to just stay in for a while.
