Oh, you're good Kmccue07! That was quick and I think that you're right on the money! I looked it up and it looks like a white-crowned sparrow to me too. Thanks! Please feel free to name some others if you like.

they are not usually in my area of the US but last spring some migrated through. They have a very ear pleasing song.

We see these fellows come through in the Spring. In about April you can hear them singing everywhere. They stay about 3 weeks and then they're gone. Strange.
