Cranes

Nice job! Sandhill cranes, aren't they just beautiful!

These cranes seem to be growing in numbers in this area. I never saw one until a few years ago, now you see them more frequently.

We see them sometimes while migrating, but I have not seen one on the ground since leaving Texas years ago! You are very lucky!

I guess these two were tired, and spotted the Interstate rest stop, so thought, ~ this seems appropriate. :o)

I have seen one once. They pass through the Rifel Bird Sanctuary in Ladner, near Vancouver. They are really cool birds.
