I have 3 of these. It started out as a tiny little bit and now I have 3 healthy lare ones that will get bigger and bigger. I will also have to chop roots every now and then.

Don't believe it! I've got P.nigra and it doesn't look like this! Are you sure about it? Angie and I thought we'd got it sussed on your blog.
I will post a photo of mine, it's MUCH taller in habit and the leaves are different.
