They are lovely Gee. I think its one of the few shrubs that actually have interest all year....all this budding now.....then the little white flowers and then the gorgeous red leaves...nice

I miss my pieris that I had when I lived at the coast. The flowers smelled wonderful and the red leaves......sigh! I wonder if they will grow up here?? Something to check into.

Thanks Gilli....it was actually my Mothers that she had in a pot. When she died I brought it home here and planted it, and it is really thriving. She would be pleased to see it, well I know she can........

How wonderful, a great memorial. It is such a healthy looking specimen too. It is going to be loaded with fragrant blooms this spring, can't wait to see it !

Well Jacque....I think my Mum had it about 3 years before I inherited it and now she has been gone for 9 years....so its just a teenager ha ha ha. It stands about 4 ft high now.....

Lovely plant. I have one the same and it just doesn't seem to mind the heavy frosts we have had recently.
