Hamamelis 'Arnold Promise' with Bergenias.

I've got something in my front garden (it was given to me by a friend some years ago) that looks a little like this. It has bare stems but little white buds/flowers on it now and it smells lovely. Would it be the same or is it something different?

I think you may have to post a photo, Gee. Hamamelis flowers are very distinctive - like little bundles of ribbons. Is yours like that? They come in shades of yellow, orange and red.
