I remember this growing in my grandma's garden and now it's growing in mine - but don't know the name of this hibiscus.

If the flower never open...it's Malvaviscus arboreus. - Turk's Cap - which is closely related to Hibiscus.
These plants grow wild in the Parks here. They are very pretty and bloom all year.
