I have finished a free style long stitch picture , it,s the Organ Grinder . LS Lowery , I got the family to each do a few stitches so that their was a little of them in it as well :o)

That's a nice idea Amy, makes it special. I have a quilt that I made from old family clothing when I was dating my husband to be. I had everyone do something on it, even Mike and my grandfather cut some pieces out for it!

I,ve done that as well Gillian a patchwork quilt , I was going to make two , one for my son and one for my daughter , I finished one , with them all helping to cut the pieces I started on the second and have never got on with it , they are all hand stitched . I think I lost interest when we started using Duvets year ago , I still have them though and won a 1st prize in a craft competition so it was worth it !

I like the idea of doing it with family clothing , every piece has a story :o)

My daughter made me a nice cross stitch birthday card last year Ams so some of it must have carried on :o)

Tori is big into cross stitch. For Christmas gifts for her friends this year she designrd keychains based on famous characters that her friends like.
