Yes I believe you would - up here they require no work at all, they are prolific growers - mostly in shaded areas but I had these growing in full sun at my last home and they got to be around a metre and a half tall - also make great pot plants.

I really like ferns but I cannot have a big one like that, not only for the weather but as well for space so I have a little one in a little pot but I am thinking to put it underneath the cotoneaster..

Hi Ualda. I like ferns a lot too - have always had them in my garden, no matter where I've lived. Unlike you I've never had them in pots as they grow so well outdoors here. Hope yours grows well if you do put it outside. These particular ferns are the fastest growing I've had and because they're so huge they cover a lot of space.

The pot was outside so think it will be fine in the ground but as well I believe so because I dug it out from John's father garden that in North England where Winters are much colder than here in London but I guess it will never grow as big and as beautiful like yours.

Well it should do fine Ualda - but as you say it won't be quite as big as these giants.

Very nice. We've got to work quite hard to get our ferns looking half as good as this.
