We live in a terraced house in London with a 7ft front garden and 60ft back garden.

I have only had a garden since I moved in with John about 10 years ago, when it had been left to run wild for several years. It’s only in the last couple of years that I’ve had much time available to work in it; before that was confined to taking out most of the brick edging which made separate beds, bringing it back under control and improving the soil, which is heavy clay and was full of stones… and exterminating all the red ants.

Now I'm having fun creating something with plants and flowers - rather more than will really fit.
