Hmm. Are the leaves sticky? Not the same shape as the leaves on my Cistus(es).

no a bit fury but not thick leaves, not at all sticky, i have seen the plant in flower before, it has white single papery flowers but proberly more cup like than most Cistus and not with the markings in the centre, but i though it might just be a different vareity of Cistus, has a very simular growing habit, i thought the leaves on Cistus where like this, but i have never had one myself so i could well be wrong. but i think it is the same as one i have seen growing in a garden on the way to Brookes old play group, if i cant find it in my books i might just knock and ask. lol

You are very welcome, Angie. I had a sudden brainwave...that's what hurt - OUCH!
BTW - they MUST have a sunny position, or they don't thrive. I lost one in partial shade!

the flowers are white or pink usually arnt they...in which case they would fit in nicely on the end of my cottage bed, that has just been widened, that is full sun all day, very dry in the summer. - what about soil though, do they like acidic soil do you know?
