Blooming beetles...they're such dreadful creatures! They were very lovely Gf...

I've not heard of lily beetles....glad we don't have those...I had enough trouble with the grasshoppers last year.
This is lovely Greeny. You could do a whole 7 colour rainbow like this.

~I have lily beetle too~have you tried Provado which has been recommended~I have been just checking and crushing them but it is probably better to kill them before they start chewing!

I'm going to repot them once I'v bought some new compost - mmmmm, a trip to the garden centre is on the cards, I think. I'm hoping to erradicate the dreaded beetles this year. They will not be dining on my finest lilies! They're little, bright red beetles, very cunning as you go to catch them, they drop to the ground and lay on their backs so you can't see them. If you see one on your lilies, squish it before it sees my lilies and starts to munch away at them.

I get bothered with the dreaded Lily Beetles too Greenfingers. Get yourself some Provado and use it as soon as you see the 1st beetle. Spray and make sure you totally cover the entire plant, You may have to dowse again a few weeks later, but it does the trick. Little red demolition machines they are............

It's a fab programme once you get used to it - I'm not one for reading instruction manuals and find it's more fun just to fiddle about and see what happens. Great result tough, thanks for the recommendation.
