my succulent collection/Aeonium decorum (Aeonium decorum)

A very cool choice for a container or as a heat & drought tolerant trailer, Aeonium decorum forms a compact 1’ mound of 3” rosettes tightly clustered on thick multibranching stems. Grow it in bright shade (in hottest areas) & the mid green leaves will display orange-rosey tones with red edging. IN full sun areas with temperate conditions (like here in coastal California) the red coloring totally intensifies–very showy! Bloom time occurs in late Spring with angled inflorescences bearing lovely soft pink starry flowers. Do provide well drained soil, a bit of compost & occasional summer water.
