This answers the question i wanted to ask (wether you grow more amaryllis bulbs)

We have 4 different colours this year, Holantina. And if any baby bulbs that appear on the sides of the old ones when we un-pot them to store for the fall, they are broken off and potted up separately around Christmas time, with the older bulbs. It takes 2 - 3 years for them to start blooming, but you need to pot them each year so they can produce leaves and grow into larger bulbs. My mother-in-law had an amaryllis bulb bloom for over 15 years.
