This morning, I was walking my daughter to Kindergarten when we saw this hungry cat eating the grass near the school ..... poor thing

You are right. Stray cats has no owner to feed that tube of cream to remove hairballs. I remember, years ago when we kept bunnies, we feed them that tube of hairball removal cream.
