i lost a few fish when i first got the pond in BB, havent lost any the last few yrs now. not since i got a fake heron

sometimes a fake heron will work and sometimes not....over here they sell fake alligators! They float about and deter the "long legged vistors"

We had all of ours taken by a Heron at our last place . it,s such a shame when that happens :o(

apparently they are the top predator where the heron's winter...don't have alligators .... LOL...lucky for us the heron's don't know that! The one my niece bought looks quite lifelike...it's jointed at the neck and tail...so the water current will make it seem to move at times...

i could have great fun with one of those Lori.

i have 4 good size Koi Hywel and then the rest are a mix of goldfish, comets and shubunkins
