Have you ever tried picking the beetles, squishing them and then leaving the squished bodies by your lilies? It is supposed to repel any more beetles from coming.
I tried it last year with some weird black beetles that were chowing down on my calendula. I left the squished bodies in a pile on the path in front of the calendula and I had no more beetles for about 4 days. Then they slowly started coming back so I squished some more and left them out...4 more days without beetles.....Might be worth a try????

These are a fab bargain - 3 for £1 - amazing! Careful with your cats though - the pollen is toxic to our feline friends. I got Stargazers last year for my birthday. They were absolutely stunning. I repotted the bulbs in fresh compost about 3 weeks ago, gave them a drink of water and popped them on a shady shelf in the kitchen. One is already about 2" out of the compost already with another close behind!

I think my cats Know about the Danger Of Lillys GreenF as they never go near them ?:)

Thanks for the tip Jacque.
I leave the bulbs in the pots (2) and hope they surface the following year. Nothing! So I buy some new ones and they come up. The Ones I plant have the most beautiful scent and amazing flowers some can be about 8" across. I'll buy some this winter and plant them ready for next spring and summer. I'll take a fer pictures of them for you to have a look.
