Mountain Laurel

In early spring the mountains north of here are covered in beautiful Mountain Laurel. Looks like a few more weeks to go before they bloom.

That's a good photo Wohlibuli. Are the leaves curled due to cool weather?

Buds look promising.
As with Gilli, I'm curious about the curly leaves.

I think it is an effect of cold temps but it doesn't seem to effect the buds.
