This tree is in my neighbour's yard very close to me.

Does the tree shade your yard, or is the sun the other side ?

Only gives a bit of shade late in the evening and it only covers some lawn.
The tree is quite big and beautiful.

Do you know the type of tree ?

Some sort of birch I believe.

They're lovely trees. They look feathery.

yes, and you don't realize how many branches on it until it's covered in ice!
I also have a very large birch in my back yard-in the "JUNGLE" section of my yard.
