Our fancy-tailed guppies finally get a taste of sunshine.

Poor things - the pond is quite murky after all the rain but they still seem very happy (not a great photo because the water is so horribly dirty and cloudy).

Well these fellows live in an old spa in the courtyard that has been converted into a pond. It's full of bore water - there is a filter but it's not working at the moment and that's all.

Are those Koi fish?

Hi Delonix1. I'm afraid I don't know much about fish - I only know these as 'fancy-tailed guppies'. They are little fish - most grow to around 5cm and they are very hardy. They are prolific breeders - livebreeders - so you need a very large fishtank (mine is an old spa).

Bernieh:

Koi Fish are a type of carp. They are extremely expensive depending on the coloring and markings on the fish. There are many Koi Fish ponds here in San Diego and also a Koi Society.
