Eight years old Chloris

I almost succumbed to one this week, but didn't as they are a bit 'picky' as to where they prefer, aren't they.

I've never had much trouble with this and it's a British native of chalkland so you should be OK with it.
Daphnes, in general, don't like extremes - not too wet or dry. If they dry out at the root, they die; if they are waterlogged, they die. And ten to fifteen years is an average life span anyway. Just lost D. odora 'Marginata' that was 13 years old

Does it have a smell Andrew?

Yes, it has quite a sweet fragrance. There is also a sarcococca in the front garden so I can't tell which smell is which!
