Lovely...it almost looks like a white daffodil...I wonder what it is.

i love google...i just typed in tropical white flower into the image search and it came up with eucharis grandiflora...

You go Sandra! Yes, this is called AMAZON LILY [T] Eucharis grandiflora (white) I photographed one before and have it posted. I think that Marguerite has a photo of this one as well.

Very gorgeous specimen! Believe-it-or-not - Eucharis grandiflora - Amazon Lily grows in California very well. It pretty amazing considering they are native to the Brazilian rain forest. They are very easy to grow and spread pretty quickly in the ground. They even tolerate our hard water very well.

No, I do not... I have Queen Ema Lilies...which will be blooming soon. They have such a strong fragrance similar to Jasmine or Gardenia... and grow much larger than The Amazon Lily. I may see if I can get a piece of a plant from someones plant soon. They are beautiful.

Talking about fragrances...I bought a jasmim a few months ago, exactly because I would love the fragrance. My grandma had a tree in front of her bedroom window, and I remember the lovely frangrance early in the morning.
However, although it has flowers, those are such small ones you must put the nose between the flowers to smell it ... lol!

It can make a huge difference when a plant is grown in the ground verses a pot. The flowers generally grow much larger when grown in the ground.
