looks a bit like a euphorbia. but i'm not sure. the naming of plants is an odd one. euphorbias for instance here in wales uk are herbacious perennial but they can be anything from cacti to trees. i do have a couple that look a bit like this.

Sandra- Is this a cactus or a succulent? Normally I call the ones with spines or needles cacti and the rest succulents and was wondering if I was wrong about that???

i'm with you s on the cacti/succulent debat. spines cacti......succulents no spines....i dont think this is true but i cant get a beter answer. i will look up the link later...thanks
