Thanks Brlpr2008, this section gets morning sun...and house shade after 4 p.m. ...These plants (monarda didyma) are very hardy and actually do better when not overly fertilized...a well draining (sandy) soil and some leafmold and they are happy... you can actually set them back by administering too much fertilizer..(One of the reasons I'm trying to include native NA species in my garden...they are fully evolved for this climate and are not as subject to serious insect problems...)
